My Favorite Drugstore Mascaras

I happen to be a firm believer that the drugstore is where it's at when it comes to mascara. I buy a new one more frequently than I should and truth be told, I'm not even sorry! Here are my top picks...
This makes me want to go put on some mascara, brb!

#1: Maybelline Full n' Soft Mascara *- This is by far my favorite mascara of all time. I love trying new mascaras and I don't always have this one in my stash, but whenever I don't know which mascara to purchase or I feel like I'm stuck in an eyelash rut, I buy this guy. It's my ride or die, never fail mascara. Lashes look huge and, true to the name, they are super soft to the touch. The other bonus to this mascara is that it washes off really easily, yet somehow manages not to flake or smudge during the day. It's true love!

#2: L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara *- This is my new favorite mascara. I read some really hyped reviews online a few months before it came to the U.S. and I was counting down the days because I wanted to try it so badly... Fortunately it lived up to the hyper. My lashes always look volumized yet fluttery and flirty as well. The formula is really dry so it takes time to build it to a more dramatic effect, but it's really worth it and that additional work gives you more control over the amount as well, which I really like. The wand is also super flexible which is great for getting those baby inner-corner lashes.

#3: Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara *- This mascara is really great for dramatic lashes with a lot of length and volume. It was honestly hard for me to place it in third because I really do love it BUT the downside is that it can clump if you aren't used to the formula. To me this makes it not as friendly to someone who is just starting out with makeup and isn't comfortable with mascara application. However, next to the Full n' Soft, I think this is my most re-purchased mascara. <3

#4: L'oreal Telescopic Original Mascara *- I tend to only purchase mascaras that primarily volumize but this mascara was great for lengthening and wonderful for layering with others. My lashes were literally so long the curled up to my eyebrows when I wore this. That was a bit excessive so I usually scaled back some but I still think that if you want length and definition, this is the one for you!

What do you all love? I am always on the lookout for more mascara! ;)

Cheers!

Allie

  1. I will have to check a few of these out as I'm on the hunt for a new drugstore mascara. I keep going back to using Rimmel's The Max Bold Curves because I don't like using an eyelash curler and so far this has worked best for me.
